Frequently Asked Questions

What are the different conditions of shipping containers?

NEW - Also known as 1-trip containers, these are the newest containers you can purchase. These containers have been used one time to ship cargo from the manufacturers overseas to the United States and then to you.

USED Cargo Worthy - Used containers with minor dents and rust with door seals in good condition. These containers have been inspected at the depot which verifies the requirements for strength, watertightness, and general condition of the container.

USED Wind / Watertight - Used containers that are retired from hauling cargo typically 18+ years old. These have noticeable rust and dents. However, they are still guaranteed wind and waterproof.

What are the shipping containers made out of?

The shipping containers we offer are made out of 14-gauge steel and 1 1/8" laminated marine-grade plywood flooring with steel cross-member beams underneath providing years of durability and security. When built, the flooring is marine-grade pressure treated with FDA-approved chemicals and anti-decomposing agents to ensure the safety and longevity of the wood floors.

Do you offer a guarantee and warranty?

We do not offer any warranties at this time, but we do guarantee ANY container you buy or rent from us will be wind and waterproof when purchased.

What color shipping container can I purchase?

Our new containers are generally beige (RAL 1015), but we can typically get red, blue, white and grey at a small additional cost as well. We do NOT sell our used containers by color. They generally come in dark blue, dark red, or grey.

How long from the time I place my order until delivery?

Our normal delivery time is 3-7 business days. If you want your container sooner, we will do our best to accommodate that. If you aren't quite ready for the delivery but want to put in an order, that will work too. Just let us know when you will be ready, and we will set up a scheduled delivery.

How much space is required for delivery?

For any size container purchased, you will need a minimum of 100 feet of straight-line clearance. All units require a minimum of 12 feet of width. We need 13 feet of clearance from the ground to the top of the container, and a total of 16 feet of clearance to allow the highest extension of the tilt-bed trailer. All containers are delivered by a pick-up truck and tilt-bed trailer combined 60 feet in length.

Can I pick up the container if i have my own delivery truck?

Yes, you can pick it up from either of our locations Zanesville, Ohio or Columbus, Ohio. At the Zanesville location, you are responsible for loading the container onto your truck or trailer. At the Columbus location, we will lift and place the container onto your truck or trailer at no additional cost. The truck and trailer must meet state highway requirements requiring you to completely secure the container.

Does the delivery site require any preparations?

To ensure the doors open and close smoothly, the site must be firm and level. We can unload the container on grass, dirt, gravel, pavement, asphalt, or cement. We can also place the container on top of pavers, concrete blocks, or railroad ties to allow air to circulate under the container. The combination weight of the delivery truck and trailer can exceed 30,000 lbs., so the ground must be firm and dry.

When and how do I pay?

ALL payments are made once the container(s) are delivered. No deposits are needed. We accept both personal and business checks, cash, wire transfers, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express payments.
